Our first stop this morning was a palace where we saw the beautiful Boboli Gardens. Then we walked over to the Piazza del Duomo where we had admission tickets to 4 buildings. First was the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore- this is the church we had hoped to go to Palm Sunday mass at- we were able to go inside and walked over 400 steps to the top of the dome and were able to walk outside- spectacular view. Then we had some lunch and went to the bell tower- Mat and Arlington walked all the way to the top of that but the rest of us only went part way. After that we saw the beautiful baptistery and a museum. We stopped to get a few groceries and then drove to our next airbnb which is Gardone Riveria, Lombardi- beside a beautiful lake and about an hour drive from Nadro.
