Inexcusable

My lack of pictures on this blog lately is inexcusable.  I apologize to the grandparents for that.  We have been busy working on our next two fundraisers this weekend, so I didn't have the camera out today.

Finley is feeling better today, so this afternoon she had a playdate with her best buddy.  She was so happy to have her here at the house.  Mat took Arlington and Cainan to run some errands so she could have her friend to herself for awhile.

Today Mat and I started working on our sponsor list for our fundraiser that is coming up in August.  We are doing a 5K run/walk and a 10K walk on August 25th in Connellsville.  We decided instead of just doing a fun run, we were going to make it all official.  We will still be doing a 1 mile fun run for the kids and anyone who doesn't want to walk/run in the 5K/10K, and of course people will still be able to use the trail to ride bikes and walk their pets, just like last year.  But we are stepping it up a notch, and are excited about it.  We will have an official timer, trophies (wait until you see them I have having them hand made - they are awesome), and all kinds of fun.

I am getting off track.  We are attracting our sponsors once again to help us cover the cost of the event.  Last year we were able to cover the cost and had extra sponsor money left over to donate right to the fund.  People are pretty awesome in the city of Connellsville.  If you have never visited western PA, you have to check it out.  It is beautiful and full of the friendliest people you will ever meet.

Plus their accent rocks.

Before we can throw ourselves into planning that event full time, we are gearing up for our Dining in the Dark in February.  We have sent out invitations, and so if you are in the area, are able to come on the 24th, 25th, or 26th - please join us!  RSVP soon!  Time slots are filling up quickly.  We are doing two dinners and two breakfast.  It is going to be so fun.  And a unique experience I promise you will never forget.  Mat and I and the kids will be there, so please RSVP.  We want to see you there!

Tomorrow is Arlington's turn for a playdate.  Her bestie is coming over to play in the afternoon.  Mat will be taking the two littles to out and about so she can have a lone time.  Our kids have had a great weekend.

This week Mat has a birthday, Mat's parents come to visit, and we get to the middle of February.  Crazy.
