Snowmageddon

This morning we woke up to 26 inches of snow.  That is a lot to fall in less than 24 hours, and boy did it make a mess of things.  The world looked very pretty this morning, though.  We hadn't lost our power, which we were very grateful for.  The snow is light and fluffy, but just about impossible to walk through.

The kids went out and played in the snow this afternoon until they were cold and tired.  Our wonderful neighbor, Ron, brought his plow to our house and cleared our driveway.  (he was our savior).  We staved off boredom the best we could.  At 4pm, the governor lifted the driving ban, and people were allowed back on the roads.

We are returning to normal.  It will be a long, long, long time before we see grass again, but at least we can leave the house.

Arlington documented the storm every 3 hours from start until end.  (except for overnight of course!)  Enjoy the pictures!
