Well - I took some cute pictures today, but I cannot locate my camera cord in the crazy "middle of taxes" office right now, so I am going to have to post those another day.
Tomorrow Finley has an appointment with her new retinal specialist. Mat and I know him from our (wonderful) dealings with the University of Penn, and we can't wait to see him in his office tomorrow.
We are so glad Dr. Pierce moved to Mass. Eye and Ear so that we could enlist him as our retinal specialist. We love Dr. Huang, but he is at Yale, which is now a 3 hour drive for us.
Tomorrow's appointment is listed at 8:30am-6pm. Yes, you read that right. It is gonna be a LONG day.
We are packed and ready to go. Thanks so some pretty amazing neighbors, the kids and dog are all squared away for the whole day tomorrow. We got lucky with the neighborhood we live in. I can't thank the Martins, the Geall's, and the Weber's enough for shuttling our kids and our dog from 7:30 in the morning until we get back around 7pm tomorrow night. We owe them FOR.EV.ER.
Wish us luck tomorrow. We are going to try and talk the doctor out of the ERG (electroretinal gram) because last time Finley had to be put to sleep for that. I can't imagine enough has changed that we would gain much from that test. But we may have to suck it up and do it. We will see. Finley hates these appointments because it is long days, lots of stinging eye drops, puffs of air in her eyes, lots of pictures of her having to hold still while she focuses on a little red dot so they can take pictures of her retinas. Lots of questions. Lots of being a "big girl".
She is usually a trooper. Let's hope tomorrow she wakes up ready to go. We packed her a bag full of goodies, and there is a monster high doll on the other end for her. Bribery works well.
We will give a full report tomorrow.
