Race day is a comin'

We are not just a little over 4 months to our August 25th event for Finley. We have been hard at work getting the preparations completed. Sponsors are rolling in, baskets are getting donated, the race brochures have been printed.

I am hoping that this is our biggest event to date. I want to top last year, and we hope to raise $20,000 this year at the event. If you are in or around the Connellsville, PA area - or even if you are not and you want to join us - please come down! It is going to be a GREAT day.

It gives you the option to pay by credit card, or you can just fill out the info, print it out and mail it in with your check.

Please remember that every cent raised goes to our foundation. We don't operate with any overhead - something we are very proud of.

In the meantime - today we found out that we are OFFICIALLY registered as a non-profit with the government. For the last year and a half, we have been an official non-profit as an umbrella fund under Spartanburg County Foundation. BUT - over the winter, we decided that raising $300,000 in 18 months meant we could branch out on our own. So we took the leap, and today our CPA received the paperwork that stated we were approved and we are official. We are very excited.

The other news is another family has joined our ranks. Yesterday I received an email from another family that recently found out their daughter has RDH12 LCA. She found our website (thank you Google) and contacted us. We are so excited to have them as part of our family.
