5 (take two)

Today is Finley's fifth birthday.  I was going to blog about our lake vacation a little bit more, but I am taking a break to celebrate my youngest turning 5.

Where did the time go?  I fell like we were just bringing her home from the hospital, adjusting to having more than one child.  And now she is going to Kindergarten.  Too fast.

She has had several birthday parties.  We celebrated while we were at the lake, and then had a party today on her actual birthday.

Finley is our spirited child.  She was a quiet baby, and a crazy toddler.  She can be quiet and reserved, or demanding your attention.

She loves to be held.  She loves to snuggle.  But she also loves to pinch your cheeks, and touch your face.  She can be super loving, or super silly. 

She is ALL baby of the family.

Finley's first 5 years haven't been easy.  She has more baggage to deal with than the average child.  She gets a lot of unwanted attention due to her diagnosis.  But she doesn't let it get in her way.  She is a free spirit full of sweet joy.

Happy Birthday Finley.  We are so lucky that God gave you to us.  We can't imagine you being any different than you are.
