Our amazing church family

On Saturday we had a church bizzarre. A few weeks ago, I received a call from our church stating that this year they wanted to give the money they made at the bizarre to the Finley's Fighters and our RDH12 Fund for Sight. We were blown away at the offer, and excited to have an opportunity to participate in this church event.

We only took Finley to the Bizzarre. It was going to be kind of a long day, so our favorite babysitter stayed with Arlington and Cainan while we went. We had our own booth - our first one! - where we could hand out information about Finley, our Fund, LCA. We also sold our shirts and wristbands. It was great.

In the end, the bizzarre raised $2400 for our RDH12 Fund for Sight. We couldn't believe it!!! It was so exciting.

Sunday in church, Finley and I thanked everyone for their generosity (I held it together - you would have been so proud), but words are not enough.

This church saw the five of us coming 2 summers ago, and the people met us at the door with a smile. They welcomed us in and made us feel a part of their family right from the very beginning. It is a small church, but the group of people - amazing. They tell us that they can never do enough to help our family. And we cannot thank them enough for that. They show us what it really means to be a Christian and a good human being. They show us that selflessness comes first when you care for others and about others.

So thank you to our church!!! We love you.

Just a reminder - the National Honor Society in Connellsville is having a Spagetti Dinner for Finley on November 4th. If you are in the area -or able to drive in - please think about attending! You can get tickets at the door. All proceeds go to our RDH12 Fund for Sight. And there will be a basket raffle (Chinese Auction) - a lot of baskets to win!! T-shirts and wristbands will also be up for sale.

Every little bit helps. Come and enjoy a delicious meal and enjoy some company. Come and learn more about Finley, LCA and our RDH12 Fund. We appreciate your support.
