Our itinerary

I wanted to post our scheduled itinerary for Mat's trip to China. Here is what is happening when:

First stop Beijing. Mat's guide there, her name is Rui. He and Aunt Betty will be staying at the Poly Plaza. If you want to see the hotel, here is a website:
http://www.beijingservice.com/hotels/4-hotel/polyplaza.htm
They arrive in Beijiing on August 10th after flying for about 24 hours at 3:00pm. (China is 12 hours AHEAD of us on the East Coast)

8/11/07 - Sight seeing tour of the Great Wall, Forbidden City and Tian An Men Square.

8/12/07 - Fly to Chengsha, which is the capital city of Hunan. Hunan is the province where Cainan is right now. He is staying in the city of Chenzhou, which is about 4 hours south of Chengsha. Mat and Aunt Betty are going to Chengsha because that is where the Civil Affairs office is. Poor Cainan has to make the ride there. He is going to be tired!

The guide in Chengsha is Samuel. Mat and Aunt Betty are staying at the Dolton Hotel. Here is a website to check out the Dolton, which is a BEAUTIFUL hotel.

8/13/07 - at 10:30am, Mat will meet Cainan at the Civil affairs office! "Gotcha Day" will be official.

8/14/07 - Shopping for babies.

8/15/07 - Visit to Lieshi Park. (Mat will take pictures - I couldn't find this on the internet)

8/16/07 - Visit to Yue Lu Academy.

8/17/07 - Get babies’ passports and fly to Guangzhou.

Our guide in Guangzhou is Kelly. We will be staying at the famous White Swan hotel (famous to people who have adopted anyway!). Here is pictures of that:

8/18/07 - Taking babies’ visa picture and doing medical examination for the babies.

8/19/07 - Sightseeing tour to Chen families’ temple.

8/20/07 - Take families documents to American Consulate in Guangzhou'

8/21/07 - Families go to American Consulate Interview and get visa

Hi! It's Elaine, Mat's cousin in Fort Wayne. I am excited to read your blog! One question, you keep saying "babies". Is there more than one baby coming back? Confused!

The info you are sending is SO exciting. My brother was in Beigingfor 6 months helping to build a steel mill. He wasn't too fond of the food, but I have lots of pictures from him. I look forward to the news each day, may God be with you and yours. Nanny
