I feel like we just had Christmas, and here we are at Easter. Amazing.
The kids woke up at a decent time this morning - for the first time all week. It was nice that they slept in a little bit.
We had our Easter Egg hunt this morning. This year, the Easter Bunny hid eggs as well as their presents, to make it a little more challenging.
Finley actually had a hard time with the hunt this morning. She was missing eggs and presents left and right. A couple of times she looked right at the egg and didn't see it. So Mat and I gave her a hand. She was getting discouraged.
The kids had a great time hunting, and then opening their presents. Each kids get a toy, a movie, an outfit, and then little things and candy. It is low key.
After breakfast we went to church. The kids were excited to wear their Easter clothes.
I took a couple of picture of them in their clothes - I will take more pictures over the summer when it is warmer.
Yes - Arlington is teary in this one picture. She had gotten some dirt on her dress and was upset about it.
But she quickly came around - once we were able to clean her up. Tough to be 8 and pick a white dress for Easter - it is never going to end well.
We spent the rest of the day playing outdoors, cleaning up some brush around our yard, and then heading inside to watch "Tangled" which the kids got for Easter.
We had a delicious dinner all together, and the kids were ready for bed after eating candy and playing all day.
We spent the whole day together as a family and it was a lot of fun.
I hope your family had a wonderful Easter!

I really like Finley's dress (Arington's, too)! Very nice pictures! Sounds like a fun day!
