Advent Day Eight

Today's ornament is the Ten Commandments

This was harder to find that I thought it would be. This was a find at Cafe Press. I may hunt for a different one for future Christmas times.

Today we went and got the Christmas tree. Each year, we hunt for a Christmas tree farm to cut down our own tree. It is a family tradition we have had for many years, and we love it.

This year, we are in a new town. But we were able to find a place just a few miles from our house - in our same town. It is a big tree farm, and we had so many to chose from.

Our famiilies motto with Christmas trees - "go big or go home". We like them poofy. But this year - this year's tree takes the cake. It is huge. We have nicknamed it "Fatso". I think it is about as big around as it is tall. The tree is almost 8 feet tall. It takes up a large part of our living room. We were able to put every single ornament on the tree and still have room. (which was a first).
