Both were bought - neither were handmade. The dove is porcelain and quickly has become one of Arlington's favorites.
"Peace I leave with you, peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14;27
Today we went to the mall with the intentions of seeing Santa. We ran some other errands at the mall first, and got our family ornament:
I love it. There were a lot of choices this year - we try to get a different "animal" each year. We decided this year on the snowmen with the three little snowmen - so cute! We were looking one with a dog on it as well, but no luck.
We ended up getting an ornament for Scobby at Hallmark.
Arlington picked it out. We came home and took a picture of Scooby and stuck it in the frame and hung it on the tree. So now Scooby has his own ornament.
Anyway, we didn't get to see Santa. By the time we got to the end of the huge mall and found him, they were cutting off the line because Santa was going to take a break. He was going to be gone for 1 1/2 hours, and we were all hungry. And the line was REALLY long waiting for him to return. So, we decided we will go on Wednesday. The kids have a half day, so we will go when they get home - hopefully it will be less crowded.
So we went to lunch at Margaritas - which was one of our favorite restaurants in Connecticut - and came home.
I can't believe that today is two weeks until Christmas day. I am so excited. I love watching the kids Christmas morning. I know, when they are teenagers, I will miss the excitement in their eyes. The magic they believe in. And we are excited to be going to Connellsville to visit with all of our families over the holiday. We haven't seen Mat's sisters from Florida since June, so we are happy we will get to spend time with them and their kids. We will be meeting our nephew, Jet, for the first time.
Tonight, while Finley was having a snack, she was being her goofy self, so I will end this post with a picture of our girl:
