On the 2nd day of Christmas Break

Today we started with a trip to the Harvard Museum of Natural History.  If you want to read more about it, click HERE.

I have been looking for things to do with the kids over the holiday break since we aren't traveling anywhere this year, and this is on of the things I came up with.  The best part about it?  It is FREE to Massachusetts residents on Sunday mornings form 9-12.  PERFECT!  Free fun.  I don't pass up free fun for a family of 5.

We got there a little after 9.   The kids had a wonderful time.  We have never taken Finley and Cainan to a museum before, so this was a good test for our "hopeful" trip to Washington DC with them next summer.  They did pretty well.  Here are a few pictures from the museum.

Arlington posing in front of an amethyst -her birthstone:
Pretending to swim with this dinosaur.  They are a little weird:
Arlington with her favorite dinosaur, the Triceratops:
Finley was so happy to be able to touch something:
Cainan thought this monkey with a long nose was funny:
We spent the afternoon around the house.  Arlington played with her bestie "C".  We played Wii and watched a Christmas movie.  I finished painting Finley's room (yay!).  I just have to put all the furniture back in place in the morning.

A calmer day than yesterday, and no mishaps.  Can't beat that.
