Day Two at the Lake

Day one at the lake is just an arrival day for us.  We can get into the house around 4pm, and we use that evening to go grocery shopping and settle in and unpack.  So we only took a few pictures on that day.

Day Two for us this year was a Sunday.  We started the morning off with Mat's sister Jess and her husband, Tom taking the older kids down by the lake to look around.  Arlington, being Arlington, was sitting on the deck kicking her feet and slide further and further until she.......fell in.  Of course.  She was fine, but upset because she was in her clothes.  Jess and Tom panicked a little, but were able to reach in and grab her out of the water.  Arlington can swim fairly well, but I knew she would be upset she fell in.  We had a good laugh about that one.  Arlington told us she wanted to be the first one in the lake.....so she got her wish.

That afternoon, Mat and I had the chance to spend time with another LCA RDH12 family - the Priors.  They live right across the border in South Carolina, so we had made plans to meet up at the local children's museum and spend the day together.

I am so glad we had a chance to get together.  They didn't have the chance to meet us in Philadelphia when we presented the check to Jean Bennett, so I am glad we got to see them and catch up.  This was the first time our kids had a chance to meet each other, and they had a great time.

We had a great time at the children's museum.  My kids are at a great age for a place like that, and they ran around for hours exploring.

So it was a great second day.  We were home in time for dinner and to spend the evening with the family, so it worked out great.

Enjoy the pictures from our second day.
