Debt of Gratitude

Once again, we have been humbled by the great town of Connellsville.  This past Thursday, the Women of the Moose had a Chicken and Biscuit dinner to benefit Finley and our RDH12 Fund for Sight.  Jill Philburn, from the club, had contacted me and my family a few months ago, asking if this was something they could do to help raise funds for our Fund.
We are so grateful that they came forth to offer their help.  So, this past Thursday night, despite bad weather from a snow storm, and cold temperatures, 200 people came out to have dinner that the Women of the Moose provided, and support our family.
Even though we weren't able to be there, my parents and Mat's parents were there in our place.  They tried to talk to everyone and thank everyone for coming.
(this is Kayla - a little girl that has been so sweet to Finley.  If you remember - she gave Finley money from her piggy bank at last year's BBQ, and she draws Finley the best pictures)

Some of the students for our local junior high helped man the check in table, and helped sell wristbands and t-shirts.
I understand the food was wonderful, and everyone who attended had a great time.

The women worked very hard to make this dinner possible, and their hard work paid off.  They brought in over $1700 for our Fund with this dinner, and there are not enough words to thank them for their support.
On top of a wonderful dinner, they also raffled off a few lottery ticket wreaths
And served enormous amounts of cake that was donated from local bakeries.
Thank you, Jill, and everyone else involved.

We continue to be amazed by all the support and generosity of our hometown.
