Mother Nature thinks she is funny

We woke up to more snow this morning.  No - you are not seeing a repeat post.  We got another 4 inches of snow over night, and we had to contend with that today.  Again.

We were trapped in our house for awhile, though.  Even though our gracious neighbor plowed our supersized driveway by 9am this morning, our other two neighbors (who share a driveway with us) weren't as quick.  It is hard to explain, but there are 4 house and we all share one way out to the main road.  And we don't own the part of the driveway that leads to the main road.  We COULD plow it out.  If we had a plow.  It is quite big to shovel.  So.....we had to wait it out.

Which meant we missed church.  Not our first choice, but unfortunately, sometimes we rely on others so that we can get out.

Today we kept busy.  I got a second wind with straightening out the house and cleaned out and straighted up all the drawers and closets in all three bathrooms.  That was quite the job, but it is good to have it done.  3 garbage bags later, it looks nice and neat once again.
We did go outside this afternoon and play in the snow, but just for a short time.  It is much colder today here, and very windy, so the kids weren't as anxious to stay out.  Our playtime only lasted about an hour today.  Just long enough for us to clean off the cars, shovel the steps, and sled down the hill a few times.
Mat improved the ramp, and the kids had a good time trying it out.

Finley was the first one to get sick of being outside.  This is usually the first child to bail.  And she hates the cold.  While she doesn't mind the snow and asks to go out, if it isn't very warm, she doesn't want to be out long.
So she ended up hanging in the back of the van for a little while so we could finish shoveling.
This is a favorite spot of hers.
This evening we ordered Chinese food and watched Aladdin with the kids.  Tomorrow starts another full week of work and school.
I hope everyone has a good start to their week.  I will see you tomorrow!
